My girlfriend dislocated her shoulder while playing volleyball with no health insurance. Her parents health insurance stopped covering her because she had just graduated from college (If your covered through your parents group health insurance most companies will stop coverage after graduating college). Now my girlfriend has to pay this large hospital bill . She is working full time but only making minimum wage and has a lot of expenses. Soon she has an appointment where she will be given a financial evaluation at the hospital to see if she can get any aid in paying the hospital bills (she doesnt know the total of the hospital bill yet, but shes guesstimating its going to be over $3,000 because she was sent in an ambulance to the emergency room and took several x-rays etc). She has her lifetime savings in a bank (roughly $3,000 that she was planning on sending to her grandmother in France to help her grandmother pay for an operation she needs). My girlfriend makes minimum wage and has a lot of expenses, and with her budget she can only pay approximately $20.00 per month. Nonetheless, she is worried about losing the money she has in her bank account. At an appointment for a financial evaluation, like this one, do they ask if you have a bank account? If they do ask will she be forced to pay the hospital bill with that money? Any advice or tips on how to deal with this would be appreciated.

Today at a light a car rear ended me. My rear bumper has some small scratches and some paint marks from the other car. No dents or anything else. the car that hit me seemed to have worse damage to his front bumper. We called the police and they did a report. The other guy said he is not going to put in a claim with his insurance. He admitted fault and apologized over and over. I was wondering if it is worth me putting in a claim with my insurance? Hey, so I have my driving test on June 3rd but i am looking to buy a car before then in these next few weeks. My car caught on fire due to some electrical wiring, im fully comp, and have never claimed before. But sneaky as they are, they have told me that they do not cover electrical wiring faults, which has caused the fire. But the AA who towed my car in has catergorised it as fire damage. Surely they must cover the fire damage. I took it to a repair centre near me, and have asked them to have a quick check, and they also say its fire damage and what not, this has been procrastinated for so long by the insurance company, (claims company rather) that i can't remember what the repair centre has stated. Surely, fully comp covers something like this? THEIR engineers have said that there was no further damage to the rest of the car, but can i trust THEIR engineers? A full check up costs a lot, as they would have to take apart the car ( i believe? ) When i rang up the lady at the claims centre, she had no idea what case i was on, she literally said 'give me a moment to read up on your case' for me, thats a bit pathetic. While speaking on the phone with her not only was she rude, almost shouting at me (as i pressed on further ) . She told me she would send the company policy booklet to show that electrical wiring is not covered, and a letter stating the case was closed and in detail what the whole case is about. A week and a half has gone by (she said couple of days) This is the most annoying thing. She was rude, unhelpful, unwilling to help, and just taking the pee with the whole thing. I just find it sketchy that the letter has not been made, and no further actions or anything has happened (i have also opened another case about another incident - no info .. still) . I think they are just hoping i'd give this up as they are so unwilling to pay out. This is the reason I have insurance. Whats the point otherwise? Sorry for the long read. I have no idea what to do now, can i take it to a small claims court or talk to someone in the city council to further my case? Thanks

I became a U.S citizen two years ago and I've been trying to find cheaper and quality health care, but I couldn't. I researched free health care online, but can't find it. Hey guys, I have some questions for you. I am 17 years old, and want to buy my first motorcycle (supermoto). I think I have a good idea on what it costs, but i'm just unsure. First off, i'll need to get my license. What'll that cost me? (California). I do have a car license, so getting the motorcycle license should be short and sweet, but i dont know. secondly, i'm going to get some motorcycle gear. I figure I'll be in 500$ with both license and gear (nice used leathers probably). Then i am going to get the bike which costs $4000. Being a supermoto, the insurance should be cheaper right? DRZ400sm if that helps. So between monthly payments and insurance, I should be in... 200$ a month? then gas, social life, blah blah. What do you think I need to be making monthly to make this happen. I bring in 500$ a month, and have 600$ in the bank as of now.
